Competition criteria for persons who have acquired secondary education since 2004:
CE in Latvian
CE in English or CE in French or CE in German
CE in Mathematics*
Final mark in History
* For persons who have completed secondary education before 2008, the centralised examination in mathematics may be replaced by the average mark in mathematics indicated in the secondary education document (or the average mark in algebra and geometry)

Average mark in Latvian Language and Literature
Average mark in English, French, or German Language
Average mark in History
Average mark in certain subjects
Advantages: Graduates of the Young Theologian and Religious researchers' University (Faculty of Theology, University of Latvia) in 2021 and 2022 receive additional 20 points.

Bachelor's degree or second-level professional higher education or equivalent higher education.
Competition evaluation calculation formula: average mark (60 x 10 = 600) + total (or average) mark of ffinal examinations (40 x 10 =400);
Eligibility for non-competitive registration: For the graduates of UL bachelor's study programme "Theology and Science of Religions" in 2021./2022. academic year whose mark of bachelor thesis in no lower than 8 (very good) and whose average mark is no lower than 7.5.

During the admission interviews, the applicants are rated after the sum of received points. The results of this are used to determine which applicant will be able to study in the budget places.
